Eric and his wife Teresa have been a part of the Pleasant Ridge Church Family since June 3, 2007. He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University, in Boiling Springs, NC. He holds a BS in Psychology and a Masters of Divinity from the M. Christopher White School of Divinity. In 2007, Eric also earned his Doctor of Ministry from the Gardner-Webb University School of Divinity, where he received the W. Bruce Rabon Doctor of Ministry Academic Award and he has been recognized in the University's Gallery of Distinguished Alumni. He and his wife, Teresa, have been married since November, 1979 and have been blessed with two sons, Alex and Tyler. They also have the gift of two daughters-in-law, Amberlee, who has been married to Alex since January of 2009 and Stephanie, who has been married to Tyler since July of 2011. Eric and Teresa also have found great joy from the Lord in their first grandchild, Eli Jonathan Davis, who is the son of Tyler and Stephanie! Eric continues to be very involved in the community as well as the church. He has served as the Chaplain of the Shelby Fire Department since May, 1992; Chaplain with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office since 2001; Chaplain for the Cleveland County Firefighter’s Association since 2006; Chaplain for the Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue Department since 2011, and as Chaplain for Cleveland County Emergency Medical Services since 2016. In addition, Dr. Davis serves on the Board of Ministers at Gardner-Webb University. Eric and Teresa both have enjoyed leading various Mission Teams throughout the United States and in various countries including South Africa, Ireland, Jamaica and Canada. The Davises are originally from Hickory, NC, and they have lived in Cleveland County since 1991.
