Kathy and her husband Philip have been part of Pleasant Ridge since July 2012.  They reside in Boiling Springs, NC. In their blended family, they have four children and six grandchildren. Kathy is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and a Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministries. Kathy was employed by the Cleveland County School System as a Music Teacher for sixteen years. She retired from from the school system in 2008 in order to complete her seminary studies. Besides teaching music in the public school, Kathy has been in Church Music Ministry for over forty years. She has served as Minister of Music at various churches within Rutherford and Cleveland County.

Kathy has been a volunteer Chaplain for Hospice of Rutherford County and a Patient/Family volunteer for Hospice of Cleveland County. She has served on the Board of Ministers at Gardner-Webb University on several occasions.

Outside of being on staff at the church, Kathy has been actively involved with the Emmanuel Emmaus Community since 2002. She has served on music teams and as clergy for over twenty walks. In her time away from church, Kathy loves spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors and enjoys playing golf with her husband, Philip.
